Members of HazMat One,

At our meeting last Thursday night we discussed the transition from the old West McCracken HazMat Team to our new HazMat One Regional Response Team.  We are planning on moving the final stuff from the old HazMat truck in W. McCracken FD to our new truck in the next couple weeks.  At that time, HazMat One will be available for calls.  A couple of final preps have to be completed with your help.  We need to test Level “A” suits, probably this week.  We could use some help doing that.  I’ll send out an email as soon as the time & place for that is scheduled.  We will set up our dispatch procedures this week at Central Dispatch – 911 in Paducah for our callouts.  Our dispatch will be on McCracken Co. Fire frequency tap out and on our HazMat One pagers that we have been issuing the last few months.  If you are not on McCracken Co. Fire, you need a pager.  I have them for issue at each of our meetings.  Our next meeting will be next Monday evening at 7:00 pm at Reidland Fire Station #2 at 6217 Benton Rd, Paducah.  We will have all our equipment there for training.  The board of directors will meet at 6:00 pm, prior to the general training.

HazMat One will be participating in an exercise in Murray on Saturday, February 4^th with Murray FD and the National Guard.  More info will be sent to you as we get it.
